Roots in the Community: Conservation @ the Library!

Spotlight on Local Soil Heroes

This week, in the City of Boise 🥔

The City recently posted on Instagram about staff feeling antsy to plant due to lingering frost. Instead of rushing outdoors, they’re potting seedlings indoors and attending the Water-Wise Workshop Series—hosted by the Ada Soil and Water Conservation District at the local library—until temperatures rise.

Sound familiar?

Does your library or community center offer gardening resources? Share programs in your area that help growers adapt to seasonal challenges!

Your Takeaway:

🏙️ Forget the urban/rural divide. Whether you’re in Albuquerque (ABQ) or Abiquiú, your local library and Soil & Water Conservation District (SWCD) has tools, workshops, and experts ready to help. 💪 🤝
